Tress turned off the small hologram has she was in her cell, she paced back and forth has she was worried as a guard open the cell. “Let me guess, you are letting me go for good behavior?” Tressa asked with a cocky smile as the guard slammed her into the cell bars hard as she hissed. “Where is it?” The guard yelled has she looked at the open door, “Where’s what?” She asked has the cell door shut and she had the keys in her hands and was on the other side of the cell. “Tooties.”
Delia watched Xerxes as he went into the kitchen and warmed up some leftovers. “Are you sure you don’t want anything?” He asked has Delia picked up a newspaper and placed her hand on the waistband of her jeans. “I am good, now place your hands over your head.” Xerxes turned with a forkful of noodles in his mouth to see the pistol pointed at him. The bowl of noodles fell to the floor has Xerxes saw Delia get tackled to the floor has he moved quickly and grabbed a knife from a drawer and held it. “Working for the knights?”
Xerxes saw Ezio holding Delia in a chokehold has the pistol was on the ground. “A girl has to do what she has to do, look at you Ezio working that damned traitor.” Delia hissed has she glared at Xerxes. “And hiding her son, the emperor will thank me personally for bringing both of you in.” She threw Ezio has the kitchen table broke, Xerxes went for the gun has she slammed him into the wall has the knife cut his arm. Ezio saw a young woman looking around as she saw a face and moved quickly. Knights were on her tail has she smirked. “Find her now.” A captain yelled has he looked around the crowd searching for those eyes. The eyes that held power, the powers of the gods. She looked at the train that left has she disappeared in the crowd as she knew she had to find him.
Xerxes could not sleep that night has he remembered Delia’s face before he killed her, he looked at his hands. How did I even do that? He thought as he saw Ezio sitting near the window, he was looking at something has Xerxes let out a sigh, “Who are you truly?” Xerxes asked as he saw the smoke coming out of Ezio’s nose. “A assassin, I tried to kill your mother once. She spared me but in return I took care of you. I don’t even know why I saved you. I could have been like Delia and turned you in to the knights.” He took in a puff from the cigarette. The door opened has Ezio put his cigarette out has he opened the door and saw those eyes. “Were you followed?” He asked, “No, gave them a fake trail now let me in.” The voice was sharp as Xerxes saw the young woman’s face change as there were cracks up her face and her face that was once hard became soft. “Hello, my son.” Xerxes could not believe his eyes as the woman let her hair down. “Ezio, for your trouble and such.” She brought out a small bag and gave it to Ezio as he opened the bag to see the gems and cards filled with credit. “Thanks.” Ezio said has he grabbed the bag. “Xavier.” She smiled has tears ran down the side of her face has she took a few steps closer to the bed where he sat. “You look just like Jasper.” She said has she tears fell, Xerxes looked at the woman has he looked into those eyes and remember when his mother use to sing to him. “Mom…” He said has she hugged him and ran her fingers through his hair. “I am sorry, I am here now.” She said has Xavier hugged her tightly has Ezio sighed in disgust.
